About this experience

Learn to fashion your own set of Feather Fans with this DIY workshop guided by Sky Sirens' very own Burlesque Beauty and DIY Debutante, Lottie Lamont. Fan dancing is a Burlesque art-form from the Golden Era that tantalises and teases the audience with beautiful Ostrich Feather Fans. In this workshop, Lottie will take you through a step-by-step fan making process and assist you with any questions along the way. Fan creation can be very time consuming, so you won’t be able to finish your set within the two hour workshop. However you will leave with all the skills you need, plus a bonus instructional video to refer to so that you can finish your set at home!

Lottie took her first steps towards burlesque over a decade ago, but it wasn’t until she moved to Sydney and began lyra classes at Sky Sirens that she decided to give performing a try. She made her solo debut at Heartstoppers during her very first term of burlesque classes with an act she’d had in mind for many, many years.

Having been a burlesque student at Sky Sirens herself, Lottie understands better than anyone the transformation that occurs during classes. She is so proud to be part of such an inclusive studio that emphasis self-love and the joys of discovering your own inner Siren.
